Asking the Right Questions

How can this be true if that is true? If this seems right why doesn't it make sense with what I already believe to be right?

Generally, when there is a disconnect between what you believe and what seems to be a reality you are asking the wrong questions.  When we approach any aspect of our life with absolute certainty we have set ourselves up for disappointment, failure, and confusion. The problem with a fundamental approach is it is full of assumptions. Most of us know the old saying about what happens when you ass-u&me.....

Asking the right questions is the answer.  Don't worry. You will probably have to ask a few "wrong" questions before you figure out the right ones. Most of the schools, churches, and other institutions we grew up in discouraged curiosity. Sure, they allowed you to explore those fields within the correct ramifications presented, but you aren't supposed to question your faith, the bible, scientific method, the teacher, preacher, format, or the procedure. You are just supposed to accept those things as right and good.

The truth is they don't want you to have your own opinion. Even if they have good intentions they want you to have their opinion, so they put a ban on curiosity. Few people are going to give you the permission to ask the "wrong" questions.

If things don't make sense right now remember: Asking the right questions is the answer. It's OK to be curious.
