Don't quit your day job.......at least not at first. Chasing your dreams usually means staying up a few more hours at night. It means when you get home from a long day of work you find the energy to do what you really love.
If you are really passionate about something you will make time for it to happen. Just because you think it would be fun be a photographer, musician, entrepreneur, or writer doesn't mean you should risk being homeless for it. Rags to riches stories are one in a million. However, the guy who is doing what he loves for living but started out doing it as a hobby is quite common.
When your passion becomes your only resource for money it can be a real killjoy. Especially if you are struggling to pay the bills. On the other hand, if your just doing what you love and you happen to make some money its exciting.
If you just started chasing your dreams don't quit your day job....at least not yet.
