Waiting for a miracle is a bad game plan. In fact, it isn’t a game plan. If your dreams for life involve “getting discovered” or “the big break” you’re probably not on the right track.
All things great happen slowly and require work. Lots of work. “One hit wonders” are the exception, and that is all they are: one hit wonders. They never produce anything else great. You’re not going to win the lottery. You’re not going to have a genius idea fall in your lap. Great ideas come after the bad ideas have been eliminated.
Good things happened to people who are ready. People who have created patterns and habits in their life that will make them ready when opportunity comes. “Getting discovered” should just feel like another good decision in the direction you’re already headed. Another every day decision.
When faced with a challenge, look for a way, not a way out." David Weatherford
